Wirelet software
Wirelet uses the good properties of wavelet multiresolution analysis to scan the space-frequency information contained in magneto-inductive signals, especially weak signals that escape human vision.
The core of the Wirelet innovation is the construction of wavelet frames on dense and super-resolution grids that span the space-frequency plane associated with original subband coding algorithms invented by Letscan.
Wirelet astutely performs the calculations of the wavelet scalograms with a fast and parallel implementation which makes it possible to analyze the signatures of magneto-inductive signals in almost real time.
Functionality based on the extraction of the ridges of scalograms makes it possible to locate the signatures of failures in a robust and automatic way.
The rope inspector finally supervises the results with the help of indicators and qualifies the identified defects before editing of a fully documented magneto-inductive inspection report.
Quid of wavelets ?
Wavelets literally little waves have been imagined in the 1980's by J. Morlet to analyze and synthetize the content of numerical signals. Wavelets are at the root of numerous innovations like the jpeg2000 image compression format or the video Mpeg4 codec.
